Bernd is an aviation industry specialist with an undergraduate degree in
Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Bernd
has spent his entire professional career working in the aviation industry,
beginning with a leading third-party aircraft maintenance provider in Hong
Kong, then with a German airline group, and later as a product inventory
controller for a third-party logistics provider of aircraft maintenance materials
in the U.S.
After his assignments in the aviation industry, Bernd began working as a
business consultant building on his strong comprehension of strategic and
operational issues in the Aviation and Logistics Industry. He worked
as a freelance consultant with Roland Berger & Partners and later as
Senior Business Consultant with Icarus Consulting in Frankfurt.
In his capacity as Management Consultant, Bernd's assignments have covered
a wide array of topics, ranging from strategy consulting and start-up counseling
to business process improvement programs as well a s conceptualizing and
building comprehensive IT solutions. In addition to his aviation experience,
Bernd has published on the topic of aircraft maintenance strategies in the
commercial airline industry. Bernd received an International M.B.A. from Thunderbird
— The Garvin School of International Management and he speaks
fluent German, English, French and Dutch.
