Managing Consultant: Chris Thompson
Christopher Thompson has led consulting teams on international marketing, strategy and development engagements throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. His work has covered a broad range of industries including Agribusiness, Consumer Products, IT & Telecommunications, Industrial Products, Medical and Energy. Trained in the fields of international business, technology and trade, Chris received his B.A. in International Politics from Wesleyan University and an International M.B.A. from Thunderbird — The Garvin School of International Management. Chris holds certifications in 'eBusiness Development' and 'Alliance Strategy' from New York University and Brandeis University respectively and he speaks widely on topics related to international marketing and development strategy.
Prior to founding Navigate, Chris held management positions in business planning and development with technology firms EDS and USinternetworking in New York City. As a finance professional with EDS, Chris was responsible for building and managing valuation models for a $350 million IT outsourcing contract. At USinternetworking, Chris held business strategy and planning responsibilities for a successful upstart business unit and for complex IT outsourcing solutions. Chris’ business development responsibilities involved the establishment of strategic relationships with Big 5 Consulting Firms, Technology Partners and Venture Capital Firms generating more than $7 million in new business.
Chris has been an active participant in many professional organizations and he is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Sigma Iota honor societies and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP). Chris is a supporter of Childreach and was previously an active participant in numerous economic, social and political development organizations in Southern Africa. Chris is an avid traveler who has lived and worked in Mexico, Germany, France, Botswana and throughout the U.S., and he speaks English, French and Spanish.
